Jacklyn Theis-Miller, AuD, Doctor of Audiology
Dr. Jacklyn Theis-Miller is an audiologist who enjoys treating patients of all ages, from testing newborn infants to working with the elderly population. Her interest began in high school after completing a project on the auditory and vestibular systems. Dr. Theis-Millers’ enthusiasm was reinforced throughout her education. After completing an externship with Advanced Audiology, in addition to other clinical rotations, she has accepted a full-time position at our office.
Dr. Theis-Miller earned her Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Central Michigan University and her Doctorate degree in Audiology from Illinois State University. Her training includes multiple externships, including a year-long clinical rotation and training with the Henry Ford Health System. During her externship, she gained experience in a variety of settings, including hospitals, private practices, ENT (Ear, Nose & Throat) offices, and the University of Michigan Cochlear Implant Program.
Community and professional involvement are essential to Dr. Theis-Miller. She is a member of the Michigan Academy of Audiology (MAA) and the American Academy of Audiology (AAA), and continually seeks to participate in local philanthropies.
Dr. Theis-Miller strives to provide complete care to all of her patients. She seeks to enhance each patient’s quality of life by promoting communication, as communication ties individuals together. Her professional interests include diagnostics, adult amplification, aural rehabilitation, and tinnitus management.
Originally from Grand Ledge, Dr. Theis-Miller is enthusiastic about serving the greater Lansing area. In her spare time, she enjoys the company of her family and friends, spends time reading, and appreciates all of the outdoor activities Michigan has to offer.
